Specific Opportunities to Serve - update
1. Become an advocate for someone who has decided to turn their life around. Each year we meet several guests in the Hotel de Zink program who establish a real connection to our church community during their stay with us. They attend the services and other programs here at MPPC. Our goal is to maintain contact with these people after the program moves on to another location. We would like for couples or small groups to maintain contact with these special guests by meeting for 1-2 hours per week to provide encouragement and advice on resumes, job searching, and spiritual growth. Advocates are currently being paired with homeless/previously homeless people. Please contact us if you want to get involved.
2. Collect/donate food, clothing, bicycles. Specific items that are especially helpful include gloves, hats, scarves, sleeping bags, pillows, and toiletries.

We are working to provide additional opportunities to serve in the following areas:
- Mental health counseling
- Job skills and placement mentoring
- Legal advice
- Handyman/contractors to provide help for existing shelter programs
